The NVE — Nummer der Versandeinheit, known internationally as the SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) — is a globally unique, 18-digit identification number for containers, pallets or cartons. It is used to track and trace goods across the entire transport route, is assigned only once and can be read out fully automatically. When several shipping units are consolidated, a higher-level NVE can be created. As a globally standardised code, it is required by many retail companies.
The Proway solution meets the avEDIum platform.
