- AutoStore
- Automated small-parts warehouse with robots moving bins in a grid. PBW integrates AutoStore systems fully via the TaskInterface.
- BoosterBOX
- Proway IoT hardware installed directly in the control cabinet, capturing performance data from machines that have no native data interface.
- Digitaler Zwilling Digital twin
- A digital image of a machine, plant or process — the basis for simulation, monitoring and predictive maintenance.
- EN 9100
- Quality-management standard specific to the aviation, aerospace and defence industry. Proway is EN 9100 certified.
- ERP Enterprise Resource Planning
- Business software for managing resources such as material, staff and finances. Proway products connect common ERP systems via standard interfaces.
- Gamma
- Proway middleware product family for integrating systems, machines and sites — including Gamma Blitz, Energy Management and the Magic Cube.
- IoT Internet of Things
- Networking of physical devices via sensors and actuators that capture and exchange data — the basis for smart factory and performance management.
- ISO 27001
- International standard for information-security management systems, defining requirements for protecting data and systems.
- Kanban
- Consumption-driven replenishment: material is resupplied only when actually needed. PBW supports the complete Kanban process.
- KEP Courier, express and parcel service
- Service providers for parcel shipping. PBW connects several KEP providers in parallel and generates their shipping labels.
- Kommissionierung Picking
- Assembling articles into an order. PBW supports pick by voice, pick to belt, multi-order picking and more.
- LHM Load carrier
- Aids for transporting and storing goods, such as pallets or bins. In PBW every load carrier is assigned to a storage location at all times.
- LVS Warehouse management system
- System for managing warehouse stock and locations. Proway Business World grew out of more than 110 LVS projects.
- MES Manufacturing Execution System
- Software for controlling and monitoring production in real time. Proway Factory World is a browser-based MES platform.
- MFR Material flow controller
- Component that controls automated transport in a logistics facility. In PBW, warehouse management and the MFR are unified in one platform.
- Middleware
- Software that mediates between systems, translates protocols and connects data streams. The Gamma platform is Proway’s middleware.
- Shopfloor
- The production and manufacturing level of a company — where machines, orders and staff come together.
- TISAX®
- Assessment and exchange mechanism for information security in the automotive industry, based on the VDA ISA standard. Proway is TISAX® certified.
- WMS Warehouse Management System
- System for controlling all warehouse and logistics processes. Proway Business World is a WMS validated by Fraunhofer IML.
